MEN’S FOOTBALL: Dundee United will officially seal the Scottish Championship title and return to the top tier just one season after relegation if they avoid defeat at Airdrieonians tonight.

With only two games left in the season United are already six points clear of second-placed Raith Rovers, who visit Greenock Morton on Saturday, with a vastly superior goal difference having racked up 18 clean sheets on their way to promotion.

MEN’S BASKETBALL: British Basketball’s play-offs begin today with the Caledonia Gladiators, who finished third in the regular season, taking on Newcastle in East Kilbride for the first leg of a best of three series.

Reigning champions London, who won the League title by a staggering 20 points, are at home to Surrey on Sunday night.

Sheffield face league runners-up Cheshire, and Bristol meet Leicester in the weekend’s other ties.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Bottom club Dundalk, who have scored only four goals in 11 games, host the League of Ireland’s form team Bohemians this evening as they continue to search for a first win of the season.

Elsewhere tonight, table-topping Shelbourne face St Patrick’s in Dublin’s red derby, struggling Drogheda take on Sligo, Derry are in Waterford and defending champions Shamrock Rovers are up against Galway.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Atalanta reached the Italian Cup final thanks to Wandsworth-born Ademola Lookman’s decisive impact on their 4-1 semi-final win over Fiorentina.

Coming on as a 70th minute substitute Lookman scored and made an assist in added time as Atalanta came from behind to seal a 4-2 aggregate victory.

They will meet Juventus in the final after they needed Arkadiusz Milik’s late goal to squeeze past Lazio 3-2 over two legs.
